Dear Fellow Geoscientists & Friends,
As you are aware, Dr. Deva Ghosh passed away peacefully on 6th December 2019. His contribution to the geoscience community in Malaysia in general and to PETRONAS in particular, was immense. Therefore, the geoscience fraternity in PETRONAS and UTP is organizing a memorial to commemorate Dr. Deva’s contributions and also to pay our respects to him. Sheila and Nancy, Dr. Deva’s daughters will be in KL to attend the event and share their thoughts too. Some of Deva’s old associates ae likely to join the memorial through VC from US & UK. It’s a coincidence that PETRONAS book titled “Geophysical Applications in Malaysian Basins” of which Deva was the Chief Editor, was released on 23rd December by MPM, PETRONAS. Therefore, we’ll take the opportunity to handover a copy of the same to his daughters as a memoir.
You are therefore requested to attend the event either in person or virtually to pay your respect to Dr. Deva and his contributions. The details of the event and agenda are as follows:
